There’s a desperate unrecognized need for this type of health care in our society. Promoting sexual health has been my primary objective since I first entered the adult industry”.
“Many people don’t understand what a sex surrogate is” explains Alexandra Silk. “The simple way to explain it is, it’s the perfect ménage a trios. A therapist, a client and a sex surrogate or in other terms, a surrogate partner. We are hired only through a professional therapist. This three person therapeutic team has a long term goal for the client to develop healthy relationships with physical and emotional intimacy. We teach them how to touch and how to receive touch. I model effective communication skills and emotional honesty. Genital to genital contact is often not a part of the therapy. I offer experiences of shared physical intimacy, to facilitate in the development of healthy concepts of self esteem, and improve their overall sexual health. It’s a gradual skill building and healing process which requires time and practice”.
Surrogate partner therapy deals with problems from general social anxiety, to specific sexual dysfunctions. Concerns for either gender might result from any of the following: problematic relationships, medical conditions, negative body image or physical disfigurement; sexual, physical or emotional abuse or trauma, confusion about sexual orientation, lack of social or sexual self confidence. Some common sexual concerns for male clients involve dissatisfaction with orgasm, ejaculation, and/or erection difficulties. Female client sexual issues might involve difficulties with orgasmic release or penetration. Clients of either gender may seek therapy to address problems relating to lack of experience, fear of intimacy, shame or anxiety regarding sex, low level of arousal or lack of sexual desire. Today, is my graduation commencement ceremony, with a degree in Psychology. Coincidently, it was exactly four and twenty years ago on this date, that I got sober. Life is grand. My congrats to all fellow graduates!

Ahh, a very comforting thought that lingers deep in the mind and causes me to reminisce about my early beginnings in a wonderful lifestyle. We come into the world free, yet shortly thereafter we are enslaved, first by religious traditions, familial traditions and just as burdensome and perhaps having a greater grasp, societal norms. It’s not surprising to experience stress, feelings of inadequacy and grief. Something inside naws away repeatedly, until we are strong enough to stand up to all this outside stimuli. We challenge the very things that kept us contained and we are set free, once again.
Being, totally, uninhibited with your sexual desires and engaging in them fully is, both, liberating and extremely gratifying. Sharing with others only heightens these sensations. Being in a place where others share the same commonalities, certainly creates a movement. Lets continue to enjoy our sexual pleasure in an environment that is conducive to friendship, pleasure, passion and lust…
